Meet our coaching staff

Anne is the Club Director and Lead Coach at Legacy Diving West (2015-present). She is also the head coach of the men's and women's diving at Calvin University. 

She has been a USA diving certified head coach since 2004, and holds a FINA judging certification. 

She's the 2015 recipient of the Bruce Harlan Award and 8 time winner of the MISCA Women's or Men's Diving Coach of the Year.

Williamson has previous collegiate coaching experience at Michigan State University (1994-1997).  She developed and was the head coach of the diving program at Davenport University from (2017-2020).

Kurt loves kids, so it's not hard to see why he's been coaching divers for over 45 years.  In addition to Legacy, Kurt coaches Boys and Girls Diving at Northview High and Middle Schools. His divers include many conference champs, State Qualifiers, All State and All Americans.  He has a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from MSU, where he graduated with honors.  

Kelly has been working for Legacy West since 2018. She coaches all levels, from beginners to JO National qualifiers. Kelly is Aerial Certified through USA Diving to help athletes safely practice in diving belts.  She dove for Eastern Michigan University for 4 years after making the switch from gymnastics. 

Josh has been coaching with Legacy for three years and also coaches the Rockford High School Women’s team. He formerly dove for three years with Legacy Diving West and six years for Rockford, and he was a four-time state qualifier.

Tarek is our tower diving specialist coach, and was a member of the Egyptian international diving team. He has competed in many international competitions including FINA Grand Prix, Junior World Championships, and World Championships. He won the Czech 2003, Greece 2003, Germany 2004, and Sweden 2005 international championships, and was ranked among the top 50 divers in the world from 2008-2012.

Elena loves helping others achieve their goals. She dove competitively through middle and high school, then quickly fell in love with coaching others to be high achieving athletes. She has coached the Grand Rapids Christian Middle and High school teams for the past 6 years, where she has coached many athletes from the beginning stages of diving towards being state competitors. 

Jason is a current sophomore diving for Calvin University. Jason has been coaching the diving camps at Calvin since January 2022. He predominantly coaches the beginner and state U14 groups.

As a current sophomore diving for Calvin University, Kiah is our newest and youngest coach. She is great with kids, and predominately works with the beginner and state U14 groups.
